It’s an Olympic year which means for the three weeks across July and August it’s tools down and flags up. Green and gold becomes the colour palette of the country and we’re all diving into our contacts list to work out the 7 degrees of separation between us and an attending athlete. Anything to brag about, even if it is our Mum’s dog walkers, cousins, Aunties, neighbours, friend of a friend. But with Paris as the host city, Aussie fans are going to have their work cut out for them with the games in direct competition with most sleep schedules.

Enter us, Matt and Jack aka The Inspired Unemployed aka aka Swisse’s Chief Olympic Correspondents. We’re heading to the fashion capital of the world herself to deliver the nation’s pride to our athletes on the ground. We will be your hosts for the games, delivering timely recaps and commentary from the streets of Paris direct to your phone across Swisse’s Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.

We’ve been deep in preparation mode for months, tuning into every new Australian Olympics team qualification, keeping an eye on the news from Paris. Trust when we say this is going to be one epic Olympics.

A couple of reasons why:

  • The opening ceremony is giving Below Deck vibes with 94 boats meandering down the river Seine carrying athletes from across the world to mark the beginning of this Olympics. It’s the first time in history it’s not been in a stadium and is supposedly going to give the public a fair opportunity to catch the celebrations.
  • There’s going to be swimming in the Seine (supposedly). Paris has spent billions on cleaning up their famed river with the hopes that it’ll be hygienic enough to swim in. The scandal surrounding the Seine is worthy of a deepdive but we’re just here to say, we’ll believe it when we’re Seine it.
  • Legendary new inclusions to this year's schedule include Breakdancing, Surfing and Skating, and we don’t want to brag, but Australia have some hard hitting contenders for every one including Rachel Gunn, Jack Robinson and Chloe Covell.
  • The Matilda’s. Enough said.

As with every Olympics, there’s something in every event and we’re making it our mission to support as many of our athletes on the ground as we can. Prepare to catch us as we deliver the best bits of Paris by subscribing here on YouTube and following along on Instagram

After a good time (not a long time) as our Chief Gummies Officers, Jack Steele and Matt Ford (aka The Inspired Unemployed) have valiantly stepped in and up to their new roles as our Chief Olympic Correspondents. They’ve answered the call to deliver Australia’s pride and fandom direct to the grounds of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Their previous work includes alignments with Vogue, GQ, and perhaps most notably, their own content productions through their Spotify...
