Vitamin D tablets to support your wellbeing

Vitamin D, also known as the ‘sunshine vitamin’, plays a key role in a number of important functions in the body. From supporting your immune system to maintaining healthy bones, it’s important to make sure you’re getting a healthy dose of vitamin D.

Vitamin D is found in two different forms: the first in food sources such as salmon and milk, and the second, naturally produced by our skin when exposed to the sun’s UV rays. However with changing seasons, family to support and work to do, many Aussies struggle to get their dose of vitamin D, with an estimated 30% of Australians considered to be deficient.  That’s where a vitamin D supplement can help, helping to give you that boost and support your wellbeing. Better yet, take your vitamin D supplement with a meal that contains fat. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin, so it’s more easily absorbed into your bloodstream when taken with natural high-fat foods, such as avocado.
