Here at Swisse, we’re super excited about our new Swisse Skincare Australian clay mask range. Our three luxurious masks are all tailored to specific benefits: brightening, pore-refining and soothing, and all are formulated with natural, gentle Australian clay.

The masks are bursting with goodness sourced from across the globe. So, we thought we’d give you the lowdown on some of the delicious-looking ingredients they’ve been infused with, why we like them so much, and why we think your skin might too. Warning – as mouth-watering as they sound, these masks are for topical use only!

Blood orange

Blood orange is a bit of a Swisse staple, so of course we’d include this antioxidant-rich beauty in our new Swisse clay mask range. Swisse sources its blood oranges from the rich soils of Italy. Blood oranges from this area naturally contain anthocyanins, an antioxidant compound, which can help protect the skin from environmental stressors.

You could say turmeric is an ingredient de jour, with its benefits heralded far and wide. We love it in our Swisse clay mask range because it assists with revitalising and soothing the appearance of irritated skin caused by environmental damage.

Matcha green tea

Firstly, what is matcha green tea and how does it differ from your normal herbal drink of choice? Sourced from China, matcha green tea involves the whole leaf being brewed, which lends itself to more benefits than its plain green tea cousin. When used topically, this antioxidant-rich ingredient reduces the appearance of stressed, tired skin and protects from free radical damage, leaving the skin feeling revitalised and smooth.

Shiitake mushroom

Mushroom in skincare? Really? Bear with us, because shiitake mushroom actually has a number of skin benefits. It’s packed full of antioxidants and selenium, which can help assist in soothing the skin against irritants for a more healthy-looking complexion.

Ahh, the humble cranberry! Sourced from Canada, these innocuous little red balls are packed full of skin-loving goodness. Cranberries can help prevent clogging of pores and reduce oil build up on the skin for a clarified, clear and smooth complexion.

Dragon fruit

Dragon fruit sounds exotic and rightly so. Its unusual, colourful, tropical appearance belies a rich source of antioxidants that help protect the skin from free radicals, for a more youthful, smooth complexion.
