How do you get beach body ready?

 

I try to not leave getting ‘beach body ready’ to the last minute - instead I maintain my general exercise routine throughout the whole year. Everyone has their problem areas and when you’re in a bikini, they are pretty much on display. So, closer to the warmer months, I will focus more on “those” areas for me (I’m not going to tell you what they are!), so that I feel my best heading into summer. I exercise around four days a week, running a lot and doing a mixture of Pilates and circuit training. A few exercises that are always in my routine are squats, a variety of donkey kick-backs with ankle weights, planks and sit ups!

What’s your best tip for beach confidence?

My best tip for having confidence at the beach is not to compare yourself to others around you. Everyone’s body is different and there are so many different body types out there – importantly, they’re all beautiful.

I feel most confident in a bikini when I know I have been doing right by my body; eating nutritious healthy foods, being diligent with my skincare and exercising regularly. I am at my happiness when I surround myself with good, positive people, that’s when my inner confidence shines. Confidence shouldn’t come from the way you look, it should come from happiness and acceptance within yourself!

 

What’s in your beach bag?

I take so much with me to the beach! I always pack a good book, a charge pack for my phone, water, sunscreen and my favourite Swisse Natural Defence BB Cream, which has SPF in it.

How do you look after your skin following a long day in the sun?

My skin tends to get so dry in summer! I love any products that are hydrating and nourishing for my skin. I love the new Swisse Hyaluro-Natural™ Hydrating Facial Mask,

 Your favourite summer snacks?

FRUIT! I eat so much of it in summer. I love mangoes, watermelon, rockmelon, pineapples… just pretty much all kinds of fruit. I make (or buy, haha!) healthy bliss balls so that I can have snacks on the go - that way, I am not tempted to eat badly if I am starving!
