Wellness Hub November 2017 Ambassadors Spend a day with Ash Hart Swisse November 8, 2017 Share 6:00am I try to get at least eight hours of sleep every night. I have trained myself to get up naturally at 6am with no alarms or apps, the intelligence of the body is incredible! When I am not on-the-go with travel, the first thing I do when I wake up is drink a huge glass of water. It’s a great kick-start to the day as it cleanses my system and makes me feel revitalized and refreshed. I then immerse myself in some journaling, perform a 20 minute Vedic meditation and then relax in my infrared sauna. To cool off, I jump in the salt pool and practice yoga outside in the sun…all before 08.00am. I know it sounds quite intense, but this two-hour experience is where I can really connect with myself and surroundings. 8:00am It’s BREAKFAST TIME! The most important meal of the day. My go-to breakfast goodie is a high-fat, superfood tonic, which I make myself with loads of nourishing ingredients, such as Chinese medicinal herbs and brain octane oil.. Breakfast is when I take my Swisse Women’s Ultivite and the new Swisse Ultiboost Radiant Skin for daily support. 9:00am If I am heading off to a meeting or work, I prep my skin with natural skincare products and keep my makeup super low maintenance. In terms of skincare, I‘m totally in love with the new Swisse Blood Orange Brightening Facial Serum, which I use each morning. The serum provides protection from environmental stressors while brighten the appearance of uneven skin tone. It makes my skin look and feel great, plus it smells delicious! My other go-to beauty products are the Swisse Natural Defence BB Cream SPF 30 (great luminous coverage), plus products from my beautiful sister’s new beauty range, Luma. I’m particularly in love with the Luma Illuminating Highlighter and Luma Just A Touch Lip & Cheek Tint. I love working up a sweat, which I’ve recently been doing with an invigorating dance class called 5Rhythyms. The class incorporates dynamic movement that ignites creativity, connection and community. If it’s not a “dance” day, I like barre and Pilates classes, as well as walking and running. My absolute go-to is yoga, but you need to break up the cycle once in a while. 12:00pm Before I know it, it’s lunchtime. If I am not catching up with a friend for lunch, I usually make myself a superfood smoothie packed full of nutrients, protein and high-energy fat. This fuels me for my afternoon, whether I am studying, on a shoot or enjoying an afternoon yoga class. 2:00pm A typical afternoon for me can either be on a shoot or studying my integrative nutrition course. I hit the books in a quiet space with no distractions. The course has been an enlightening experience for me. I have delved deeper into the concept of eating real food, learning how to truly listen to the body and its needs, so you can fuel it from the inside to look and feel your best. 5:00pm I like to practice meditation twice daily, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. 5pm is when I do my second meditation session, it helps to ground me and clear my mind. 6:00pm For dinner, I enjoy something simple like grilled fish and salad. It’s really important to nurture your body with foods that are wholesome, healthy and filling. I always put a lot of love and focus into preparing a meal, as it’s a blessing to be able to eat delicious food. I love mixing up salads and experimenting with different recipes and dressings – you need to keep things nourishing AND exciting! If I’m out with friends and feel like a little indulgence, there’s nothing better than a glass of red wine. Unless I’m near a vegan ice cream store, that is! 9:30pm When I am at home, I have taught myself that bedtime is when I switch off my body to the outside world and rejuvenate myself for the next day. Before bed, I use my Swisse Hyaluro-natural™ Moisturising Facial Serum to hydrate and replenish my skin overnight. Then it’s lights off at 10pm for my eight-hour beauty sleep. Night night all!
