My Top 5 Skincare Resolutions for 2016 Daily UV protection – I have always believed in the importance of protecting the skin from UV damage, but admit to not always using an SPF product daily. In our Australian environment, it is extremely important to use SPF protection daily and to apply it thoroughly. Take care of your neck and décolletage and not just the face – We lead busy lives and sometimes it seems as though just going to that extra step of effort to take care of the skin on our neck and décolletage isn’t that important, but over time it will become very apparent why it is necessary. Make sure that these areas are not neglected, as they will often give away age even if the skin on the face looks great. Try applying a nourishing oil like the Swisse Cranberry Antioxidant Oil, followed by the Rose Hip Facial Moisturiser, night and day, and make this resolution a long-term commitment. Stay committed to a routine – Many of us have good intentions when purchasing skincare products and rarely stick to an overall routine. Give yourself the opportunity to reap the benefits of long-term skin care by deciding on a routine and sticking to it for a few months at least. This should include cleansing off makeup every night, cleansing again in the morning, moisturising and using a treatment product such as a serum or oil. Pamper your skin once a week – Commit to giving yourself an at-home treatment (especially if salon visits aren’t in the budget).
