Swisse AFL Best Off Ground Competition

This game is awesome. It takes dedication, hard work and passion…but we’re not talking about the players. We want to celebrate people behind the scenes at local footy clubs, those who work hard to make the magic happen. Who go the extra mile. The best of the best.

Swisse Best Off Ground competition, in partnership with the Sunday Herald Sun, is looking for the ones who help your club take on the season. Their names aren’t up in lights, there are no lucrative sponsorship deals, no army of fans, but they’re there week in and week out, putting in every bit as much effort as the players.

From coaches to canteen superstars, from umpires to ground staff. They’re the hard workers who make things happen, so the players can make it happen on the ground. Give your three votes to your local off-ground legend now for a chance to win them some amazing prizes.

We’re talking about tickets to 2017 Charles Brownlow Medal and 2017 Toyota AFL Grand Final, plus $5,000 for your nominated local Aussie Rules club. All you have to do is nominate that special un-sung hero who gives it their all.

Patrick Dangerfield, Swisse Ambassador and Brownlow Medal Winner, explains, “I’m personally giving three votes to my local junior coach, Jamie McKenzie, for inspiring me to pursue a career in football. Rain, hail or shine he always supported us from a young age to be and play our best. Without the efforts of these hardworking volunteers in the sport, we all wouldn’t be where we are today.”

How to nominate?

Nominations are open so what are you waiting for? Simply visit now to nominate your local champion “off the ground” by providing a photograph and a paragraph on why they deserve to win (no more than 250 words). Entries close 27 August 2017.
