Product Training Intern
What attracted you to the internship with the H&H Group?
What attracted me to the internship with H&H was the unknown. The uncertainty of what I would be doing on a day to day basis really intrigued me! I knew it would be something I’ve never done before and equip me with a breadth of skills for future employment. When studying Nutrition, a large focus is on moving into private practice, research or further study; I never knew I would be able to use my degree in a corporate setting. Working for a global company allows for understanding beyond the Australian landscape. I’ve really enjoyed the internship and am grateful for this experience and my team.
What exciting projects are you currently working on as part of your internship?
The work my team does is more of an on-going project rather than isolated projects. We are constantly developing educational materials for the team and then something random might pop up in between! Right now, we are creating the materials for the NPD coming next year, which is very exciting as its new, fresh and consists of some great, innovative products! On top of creating content, I’ve had the opportunity to broaden my horizon beyond my immediate team. Attending Global Table, a global agribusiness and food conference, with a focus on food innovation and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, was a definite highlight for me!
What advice would you give to students who are considering a career in the Health and Wellness industry?
Do it! It’s a great sector to be a part of. Work comes easy when you’re working in an industry you feel passionate about!
